The land subject to the application is located south east of Masterton on the west facing eastern hill range. The proposed subdivision will be accessed off the Masterton-Stronvar Road between the existing rural residential subdivisions on the Weraiti Hill.

Land use consent WAR 060160 (25586, 25587) - Land use consent and water permit to erect a dam structure and disturb the bed of an un-named tributary of the Whangaehu River.
Land use consent WAR 060160 (25637, 25585) - Land use consent and discharge permit for soil disturbance and discharging contaminants arising from bulk earthworks.
Water permit WAR 920092 (01 & 02) - Variation to existing water permit to take groundwater for a potable community water supply.
Discharge permit WAR 060160 (25584, 25635, 25636) - Discharge permits to land, water, and air from the operation of a community wastewater treatment and disposal scheme.
Consents sought from Masterton District Council:
Subdivision consent to create 58 residential allotments on land approximately 6.km to the south east of Masterton together with areas of reserve and road to vest, balance areas and to construct roads, access driveways, services and ancillary works required to effect the subdivision.
Land use consent to establish and operate on a site within the area to be subdivided a wastewater treatment plant and disposal field to serve the proposed subdivision described above (including underground reticulation pipes connecting the households to the treatment plant, access roads and drainage works required to establish and maintain the disposal field and ancillary works).
Land use Consent to construct buildings inside the prescribed setback from a boundary specified in the Proposed Wairarapa Combined District Plan.
The application includes an assessment of environmental effects and may be inspected at the Offices of the Masterton District Council, 64 Chapel Street, Masterton, Offices of the Greater Wellington Regional Council, 34 Chapel Street, Masterton, and the Masterton Public Library, 50 Queen Street, Masterton at the times those places are open to the public.
