Millwood Estate Community Group
This group is made up of residents living at Millwood Estate. They have focused their restoration efforts on the small stretch of Hulls Creek which runs between the railway line and the Estate.
At this site the group have:
- Removed a number of pest plant species
- Planted a number of suitable native plants to stabilise the stream banks, and provide a bird corridor
- Undertaken ongoing rabbit control including a rabbit proof fence
- Enlisted the help of a number of corporate groups and Community Service workers to plant, fertilise, mulch and weed.
This group are no longer planting any new plants and have moved to the weed control and plant maintenance phase of the project.
