The Friends' are based at Queen Elizabeth Park. This is a special and unique place on the Kapiti Coast linking the hinterland with the sea. Check out an aerial photo of the area.

What has the group done?
The group actively support harmonious development that encourages enjoyment, education and recreation for all users of the park. They provide a common voice to communicate the Friends' interests to the park managers, Greater Wellington Regional Council. The group initiate, support and implement projects within the park that enhance its values.
The big project for the group this year has been getting funding for the Whareroa Stream improvements. The group have also been involved in restoration planting around the park in wetlands, remnant bush and coastal dunes.
