Filming concessions and fees

There is a $175 non-refundable application fee for new applications and renewals. (Renewals may be at a reduced rate at the discretion of the Manager - Parks based on the estimated work involved in renewing the application.) If your filming activity fulfils our criteria for being of a low budget, or for student educational purposes or for not-for-profit, then you can apply for a fee-waiver.

Processing charges are based on an estimate of staff costs, public notification, consultation or any other processing costs required. These will be assessed and discussed with you at the time of your application.

A bond may be required depending on the activity and its effects. This is dependent on the type of filming but is set at a minimum of the one-day charge and at the discretion of the Manager - Parks.

The following rates apply during filming and where the film company has exclusive possession of the site:

Urgent applications	$250 surcharge
Advertising Commercials	$400/day
Feature Film	$400/day $250/half day $200/2 hours
Television Drama	$400/day
Sports Events (commercial purposes)	$400/day
Conservation/educational/recreation promotion	Nil if for non-commercial purposes
News/current affairs/films undertaken by students for educational purposes	Nil
Low Budget Films	Activity fee waiver at discretion of Manager - Parks on a case by case basis.
Commercial still photography	$300/day
Preparation and clean-up costs	Negotiated - depending on size and nature of filming. All actual costs are to be met by the concessionaire.
