Camping at Battle Hill

The sheltered and tree lined front paddocks offer great camping sites, with a shallow stream and beautiful bush remnant close by. Wheelchair-accessible flush toilets and drinking (potable) water are also close at hand.

Please register with the ranger. Prior booking is essential as there are limited camping sites available and a maximum 40 campers per night permitted.

April 2011 Please note that the 2011 edition of the NZ Camping Guide incorrectly states that there are cabins, cottages and suites at Battle Hill. Only tent sites and campervan parking are available at the park.

Email battlehillranger@gw.govt.nz or phone 04 237 5511 to check availability and book your site. You must register and pay your fees prior to setting up your campsite.

Camping fees are $5/ adult; $2/ child per night.
