Belmont Regional Park
This site was installed in December 2003 and consists of a 70m high tower sampling wind speeds at 10m, 30m, 50m and 70m. It was installed to investigate wind generation viability along with 3 other smaller sites in the Regional Park. Greater Wellington is also investigating wind speed at Puketiro.
