Greater Wellington's Akura Conservation Centre grows and sells native and exotic tree species suitable for shelter, fuelwood, erosion control and timber.  It has been trialling, growing and supplying tree species for thirty years this year.

Our staff can provide advice on planning, contract planting, tree species, establishment and protection techniques, shelter, pruning, chemicals and animal repellents. Greater Wellington also has specialists in land management, soil conservation techniques, and land-use and species recommendations.

The Akura Conservation Centre is situated on the outskirts of Masterton and opens from June to September each year.  This year the centre opens on Tuesday 2 June 2015.
